A group of conservative activists who were peacefully demonstrating for the right to freedom of expression on Saturday, Oct. 17, near the Twitter offices in San Francisco, had to suspend the rally after a violent antifa group beat up one of its organizers.

According to Breitbart, the small group of demonstrators were protesting for the right to freedom of expression, when they were surprised by an important group belonging to the leftist organization antifa, which violently began to throw objects at the demonstrators, forcing them to leave.

A video on Twitter by the user @VivaLaHaley3 shows the demonstrators and the crowd of counter-demonstrators from antifa that approached in an aggressive  manor and with most of its members hiding their faces.

The police surrounded the space to avoid major incidents, but at one point, they decided to remove the peaceful demonstrators for their protection. Six minutes into the video, one can see the police starting to remove people.

A large group of San Francisco police can be seen escorting the demonstrators down the street until at one point they are surrounded again by the counter-protesters.

A Twitter user, who usually publishes conservative news, posted a video of a van driven by a San Francisco police officer, and escorted by several policemen on motorcycle, who were moving the protesters to a safe place. As far as can be seen, the officers were driving the demonstrators back to a parking lot where their vehicles were parked.

Organizer of the event injured

One of the antifa group broke the front teeth of Philip Anderson, an African American man who identified himself as the organizer of the conservative event, according to Breitbart.

In a video tweeted by user Chester Belloc, Anderson can be seen trying to help a white man get through the countermarch organized by antifa, to get to the freedom of speech rally.

As they walk through the crowd, receiving all sorts of discriminatory and racist insults, a man dressed all in black comes up behind Anderson and violently hits him in the side of the face and then in the mouth.

Later, Breitbart reported that Anderson tweeted a message from a hospital bed to Democratic candidate Joe Biden, who said, “Antifa is an idea” during the first presidential debate with President Donald Trump on Sept. 29.

“I have a question for you, Joe Biden,” Anderson said in the video tweet. “Do you still think antifa is just an idea? This is the ‘idea’ you’re talking about, antifa, this is what they did to me. He lifted his broken tooth while a second tooth was hanging from a floss.”
