A member of Bernie Sanders’s campaign was exposed in an undercover video advocating the use of violence against people exercising their right to freedom of expression. He also suggested that Soviet labor camps were not bad and admitted that the Democratic presidential candidate’s proposal for “free education” actually seeks to apply mass indoctrination on the population.
Project Veritas released footage showing Kyle Jurek, an Iowa state field organizer for the Sanders campaign, repeatedly advocating the use of violence and extremism.
The footage, posted Tuesday, Jan. 14, on the social networks of the renowned undercover newsgroup, shows Jurek warning that “cities will burn” if U.S. President Donald Trump is re-elected.
He also suggested that Trump’s supporters should be re-educated in forced labor camps similar to the dreaded Soviet gulags.
“In Nazi Germany, after the fall of the Nazi party, there was a large population being Nazified. Germany had to spend billions of dollars to re-educate their people to not be Nazis. Like, We’re probably going to have to do the same thing here,” he said.
“That’s kind of what Bernie whole like, ‘free education for everybody,’ because we’re going to have to teach you to not be a Nazi,” he added, referring to Trump’s supporters.
“There’s a reason Joseph Stalin had gulags, right?” Jurek said, adding, “And actually, gulags were a lot better than what the CIA has told us they they were. Like, people were actually paid a living wage in gulags, they had conjugal visits in gulags, gulags were actually meant for like re-education.”
Jurek repeatedly referred to the use of violence against the police if Sanders does not win the Democratic nomination.
“The cops are gonna be the ones that are getting beaten in Milwaukee,” he said, referring to the Democratic National Convention to be held in July in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That’s where the party’s candidates for the presidential election will be decided.
“If Bernie doesn’t get the nomination or it goes to a second round at the DNC convention, Milwaukee will burn,” he said.
In the event that the socialist candidate is named president, which is unlikely according to polls, Jurek suggested that violence would be used to kill opponents.
“I’ll tell you what in Cuba with the reactionaries? You want to fight the revolution, you’re going to die for it” the activist said.
According to the Federal Election Commission, between July and September 2019 alone, Kyle Jurek received more than $10,000 from the Sanders campaign.
