Opinion

In the last month, leftist journalists and some Democrats have been very nervous about the the impeachment of President Trump, which is slipping out of their hands and they no longer know how to sustain the false narrative.

A media must first and foremost be committed to the truth, yet that seems to be a forgotten value in the vast majority of conventional media. Irrational hatred of President Trump has become their driving force and has blinded them completely.

Many conservatives, independents, or apolitical people are increasingly turning to social networks and alternative media as an option to discover the truth or at least hear another version of the facts and draw their own conclusions.

NewsBusters has made a compilation of some episodes where journalists are clearly seen distilling their hatred and their fear that President Trump will be acquitted in the impeachment that the Democrats are pushing against him in a desperate attempt to prevent him from being re-elected in the 2020.

  • NBC journalist compares President Trump to OJ Simpson

On Nov. 21, NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd compared the president to O.J. Simpson when he worried Trump would evade justice: I’m having a quick flashback to the O.J. trial.” Todd feared Trump was “going to get acquitted” even though “everybody knew” he was “guilty.”

In 1995, OJ Simpson was acquitted of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and Ronald Goldman (a waiter friend of Nicole).

  • Why Doesn’t America Hate Trump Like We Do?

Joy Behar, one of the co-hosts of “The View” on ABC, was very disappointed on Nov. 22 to see that polls showed that most Americans prefer the impeachment to stop, while the president’s approval increases considerably.

“Why is it that support for impeachment is going down for Americans, and Trump’s approval ratings—I can’t even say it, it makes me nauseous—are going up? What is that they like about him?” she said.

Perhaps this journalist did not read reports that under the Trump administration, the United States has the lowest unemployment in 50 years and for the first time—since records were kept—achieved energy independence, among other things.

  • I can’t “survive” four more years of Trump

Former MSNBC presenter Donny Deutsch said on Dec. 3: “Facts and the laws are not going to protect us right now. And the point being for the Democrats, we need to twist and meld and work. We are fighting against an enemy, the Republicans, with machine guns and we can’t bring a knife to it. And I’m not saying do anything dishonest. But we have to find a way to take what is happening there [impeachment hearings] and make it so compelling to the voter because otherwise we’re going to get four more years of Donald Trump. And we can’t survive four more years.”

  • Oust Trump to reverse bad historic ebb for America

Former Newsweek editor Jon Meacham exposed the old and unfounded rhetoric of all “isms”: racism, extremism, etc. on Dec. 1 at CBS’s “Face The Nation.”

“Now we face this wildly unconventional president who is actively and overtly putting all the norms, that so many of us were accustomed to, on trial. And so, we have these forces in American life that are perennial: xenophobia, extremism, racism, nativism, isolationism. They ebb and they flow in American life, they always have. And right now they’re flowing.”

  • How can anybody support Trump? We’ll ask a cult expert

CNN host Brian Stelter on “Reliable Sources” said Nov. 24: “The word ‘cult’ has been popping up more and more. Think back to two weeks ago on this program, Anthony Scaramucci talked about his claim that Trump supporters are in a cult. Just last week, Dan Rather said he thinks for Trump seems increasingly cultish. And this weekend in The Washington Post, Trump critic and Republican strategist John Weaver said, the GOP is ‘not a party anymore in the traditional sense; It’s a cult.’ But none of them are mental health experts. Steven Hassan is. He’s out with a brand-new book titled “The Cult of Trump.” He has firsthand experience escaping the Unification Church back in the ’70s….You say the President is using mind control, but how is that provable?”

These are only 5 examples but there are many more bombarding people every day with this distorted and subjective information.

Never in American history has there been such aggressive media rhetoric toward a democratically elected president.

Impeachment

As the impeachment process against President Trump continues, there are fewer and fewer representatives—including among the ranks of —who support this action.

So far, no evidence or witness has been presented to corroborate the Democrats’ premise that President Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy during a phone call on July 25 to investigate the son of his eventual 2020 political rival, Democrat Joe Biden.

On the contrary, the White House published the transcript of the call where it is observed that although the issue was mentioned, there was no threat. Zelenskiy himself later clarified this on several occasions.

Collusion with Russia could not be proven either, and on the contrary, it was shown that Obama’s FBI abused espionage warrants against Trump’s campaign, becoming an ‘arm’ of Clinton’s campaign in 2016, financed and supported by the Democratic Party. What other lies will follow?
