A Good Samaritan named Tim found Christopher Ramirez, a 3-year-old boy who went missing in Texas for four days after chasing a neighbor’s puppy last week.

As reported earlier, Ramirez was found near off FM 1486, north of State Highway 249, outside of Magnolia in Montgomery County at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9. The toddler was dehydrated, but otherwise unhurt when found.

The boy reportedly disappeared on Wednesday as he was playing with the neighbor’s dog in Plantersville while his mother unloaded groceries from her car. He then went into the woods after the dog. However, the dog returned, but he vanished.

After the family and their neighbors searched for him, but failed, they contacted the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office for assistance and also asked the public for help.

According to Click2Houston, deputies, assisted by multiple K-9 units, conducted a ground search through Wednesday night. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and hundreds of volunteers also joined the search. They canvassed the area multiple times over the proceeding days.

Drones and helicopters were used to survey the wooded area from above. Deputies even drained several ponds, but their efforts became useless until Saturday morning, when Tim found the toddler in the woods, alive and safe.

In Tim’s story shared on Click2Houston, the Good Samaritan said that his decision on going searching was prompted by the Spirit.

“Last night I was in a Bible study that we have every other Friday and there were a number of people talking about this little boys that’s been lost and it was news to me. This is the first I’d heard of it,” Tim said. “I’m not paying attention to news or anything, and, I was prompted then by the Spirit to say ‘you will go look for that boy. You will search the woods.’”

“So, I got up this morning, did my bible study, devotional time, prayer time, like I try to do everyday and my wife came in and said ‘what are you going to do today?’ And I said ‘I’m going to go out in the woods and see if I can find that boy.”

Tim left his home around 9:45 a.m. and found the boy near a pipeline, about 10 yards into the woods, about two hours later.

“I was walking up a pipeline and I heard a noise. But it sounded like it maybe could be an animal in distress. Sometimes deer will do that. They’ll kind of make noises like you think it’s maybe a human,” Tim said.

“So I’m walking a little bit further and I’m really listening hard. I’m wanting to hear a child, right? And so then I hear what sounds like a human child in distress. But I couldn’t understand the words. As it turns out, he only speaks Spanish and I couldn’t understand what he might’ve been saying. Every time I heard him I yelled out ‘Hello, hello!’ but I didn’t get a response.”

Tim said as soon as he heard the noise again, he called to tell authorities the boy might be there.

“They came out and I told them where to go looking and they started looking and I heard the noise up the pipeline, a little further off to the right and they were doing their thing. They were yelling for Christopher and now I know his name.”

“As I’m walking back down the pipeline to come back home and I hear the noise and I thought ‘that’s odd,’” he said.

“This time, I got a response. Prior to that I never got a response when I yelled out. But I called his name and he responded and he kept talking and talking and I just went through the thick of the woods and I found him,” Tim said, adding that the boy was in a grassy area.

“I picked him up and he was totally naked, no shoes, no clothing, nothing. . . Three days without food or water,” Tim said. “I picked him up and he wasn’t shaking, he wasn’t nervous. He was calm.”

“There have been a lot of people out in this community praying for this little boy. Many had given up hope and the story is don’t give up hope and God’s still in the miracle business. He’s still answering prayer,” Tim said.

Grimes County Sheriff sent a thank to Tim, calling him a “Guardian Angel.”

“The kind and humble citizen that found Christopher was indeed a special and Guardian Angel that was in the right place at the right time. He is a humble and kind man that did not want to his name mentioned. I had several good visits with him and thanked him for being there. He replied that God told him at Bible study yesterday evening to go look for him and he would find him. This morning the man did just that and the rest is a happy ending to this story,” the sheriff wrote on social media on Saturday evening.

The video posted on Click2Houston also hides the face of the Good Samaritan, only filming the lower part of his body and recording his voice.
