A police officer was surprised and grateful when an 8-year-old child willingly paid for his breakfast and attached a special note that read, “I want to be you when I grow up. Thank you for your service.”
Noah Cantin from Florida paid for police officer Benitez of the Lakeland Police Department’s breakfast at a nearby Denny’s.
Noah, who has always aspired to be a cop, asked his mother if he could pay for the officer’s supper out of his pocket.
Noah got some money for his birthday and used it to pay for a breakfast buffet that includes Grand Slams, hot dogs, and coffee.
The total bill came to just about $8. It is, however, a lot for a child.
Noah also wrote some words about his dream job on the receipt.
Officer Benitez was initially perplexed but later came to appreciate Noah’s acts.
Benitez then requested a photo with the kind-hearted boy.
Amanda Cantin, Noah’s mother, is likewise immensely proud of him. She went on to say on social media:
“One proud momma. When your child asks if we can [pay] for an officers breakfast!!! Writes him a message on his receipt. #OneProudMomma #BacktheBlue #Lakelandpolicedepartment #FutureEmployee”.
The images were shared online by the Lakeland Police Department in Lakeland to tell the narrative of the Benitez police station. They also conveyed their appreciation for Noah’s generosity.
“Officer Benitez was so touched by the eight year-old’s act that he had to get a photo and personally thank him. Well Noah you touched all of our hearts today. Your support means so much to all of the men and women who put on the uniform everyday. We wish you the happiest of Birthdays! (Noah turns the BIG 9 this Saturday!)”
“I’m going to make the world a better place and capture the bad guys,” Noah said according to SBLY Spotlight.
This wonderful story has warmed the internet. The users have left positive comments like,
