Wuhan ordered residents in one of its central districts to stay home until October 30. As a result, more than 800,000 residents of the Hanyang district were confined at home from October 26. In addition, non-essential businesses were required to shut down.

On October 30, local netizens captured a video showing several military vehicles and military pandemic prevention vehicles suddenly appearing on the streets of Wuhan.

The police reportedly came to help the local authority seal and control the urban area.

According to the website of Hubei’s Health Commission, at the end of October 30, Wuhan reported 50 new local asymptomatic COVID cases.

Due to the COVID outbreaks in Wuhan, residents must have a negative COVID test result within 24 hours when entering public places or taking public transportation.

Residents said that Wuhan has gradually expanded its control areas. As a result, many communities, vegetable markets, and businesses are closed.
