Tornadoes hit many regions in Jiangsu within one day

A video shows tornadoes swirling in Jiangsu. The wind is lifting building debris circling in the sky. A suspected tornado causes iron sheets to cover the power poles, leading to a power outage. Many windows are broken, and road trees are blown down.

According to the local meteorology, at around 11:30 am on Wednesday, the tornado-like phenomena appeared successively in many regions of Jiangsu province. They are Shuyang county, Suqian city and Guannan county, Lianyungang city.

The strong convective weather warning in Jiangsu is in effect. It is necessary to be protected from short-term heavy rainfall, lightning, thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong winds with levels 8 to 10.
