The FBI announced on Wednesday, Oct. 28, the arrest and prosecution of eight individuals hired by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to track down U.S. citizens and through intimidation and harassment tactics, attempt to repatriate them to China for prosecution there.

According to the Justice Department press release, Zhou Yong, Hongru Jin, and Michael McMahon, were arrested this Wednesday in New York and will be prosecuted by teleconference. Rong Jing and Zheng Congying were arrested in Central California and their hearing will be later in the day. The whereabouts of the other three individuals, Zhu Feng, Hu Ji, and Li Minjun are unknown but are presumed to be in mainland China.

Mr. Michael McMahon, the only non-Chinese defendant, was identified by the Daily Caller as a former New York City police sergeant and was in charge of surveillance and intimidation of one of the victims who resides in New Jersey.

“With today’s charges, we have turned the PRC’s Operation Fox Hunt on its head—the hunters became the hunted, the pursuers the pursued,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers.  “The five defendants the FBI arrested this morning on these charges of illegally doing the bidding of the Chinese government [CCP] here in the United States now face the prospect of prison. For those charged in China and others engaged in this type of conduct, our message is clear: Stay out. This behavior is not welcome here.”

According to the FBI’s description, Operation Foxhunt is the term the CCP uses for its illegal actions of going after people it considers “criminals” in other countries, and most are simply activists for democracy in China, critics of CCP policies, or simply people persecuted for their faith who have told their stories in the media and raised awareness of the CCP’s brutality, as is the case with many Falun Dafa practitioners residing in the United States.

Charges for 8 individuals working for the CCP

“Today’s announcement of these charges further highlights the FBI’s ongoing and aggressive commitment to investigate China’s efforts to illegally impose its will in the United States,” said Special Agent in Charge George M. Crouch Jr. of the FBI Newark Field Office.

According to the press release, one of the defendants tried to intimidate his victim by bringing his father from China to convince him to return. Former Police Sgt. McMahon suggested harassing his victim, parking in front of his house so he would know they were there. In another instance, a note was placed on the victim’s door stating, “If you are willing to go back to mainland and spend 10 years in prison, your wife and children will be all right.  That’s the end of this matter!”

Under Donald Trump’s leadership, the FBI and other Justice Department agencies have taken more drastic and public steps to deal with the perversity of the CCP, further weakening its already stained image.

In these four years of President Trump’s term alone, the Chinese Consulate in Houston was closed for being involved in an operation to steal intellectual property from American energy companies, and two Chinese working for the Guangdong Department of Security were prosecuted for conspiring to steal trade secrets, which included the development of a vaccine for the CCP Virus, among other federal crimes.

President Trump has been extremely clear in his position that the CCP is to blame for the pandemic and must pay.

“China’s total lack of transparency and mishandling of the coronavirus outbreak has cost hundreds of thousands of lives, millions of jobs, and left untold economic destruction. Sadly, this isn’t new behavior for China. The CCP has a long history of manipulation and it’s well-past time we hold them accountable for their crimes. Together, we must ensure that nothing like this ever happens again!” President Trump said in a message from the White House.

Indeed, the president’s words are being clearly displayed in front of the world and the CCP is panicking at the prospect of having a man of law and order, and a strong sense of justice for four more years in the White House.
