Tesla’s Shanghai factory is suspending production on Monday, March 28.

Reuters reported that the U.S. automaker would suspend production at the Chinese factory for four days.

Shanghai authorities announced they would implement massive COVID-19 testing for nine days by implementing a lockdown in two stages. The city has been divided, using the Huangpu River as the main guide to split the city in two, east and west of the river.

Tesla is in the first lockdown phase for four days, starting from March 28 to April 1, as it is located in the Lingang district of Pudong, an area east of the river.

The second phase will last from April 1 until April 5.
The automaker had already informed workers as well as suppliers of the shutdowns.
