Taiwan News cited Colonel Sun Lifang, who said that in this annual drill in Lien Hsiang, the Taiwan military sent F-16 fighters, Indigenous Defense Fighters, Apache helicopters, and other aircraft into practice.

During two hours of the routine, the three military branches of the Taiwan military jointly exercised air defense operations and tested their electronic warfare capabilities.

Lifang added that the drills are a message of response to the enemy and reinforce the country’s protection.

The drill comes after two Chinese military planes intruded Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Monday, April 11. This is the ninth day China has taken this action this month.
