According to Chinese media Xin Tang Ren, Xining, the capital of Qinghai province in central China, was put under lockdown again on October 21. Residents accuse the government of not announcing the measure in advance. The move left many people surprised.

As a result, many didn’t have time to stock some food. Some were said to face difficulty seeking medical treatment.

Ms. Wang, a resident of Xining City, told the media they had been under static management for two days, and everything was sealed.

Regarding food, she said some vegetables were available, and some were not.

Additionally, the so-called static management has remained in place for over two months in many locations, including Golmud City in Qinghai Province. Many people were unable to go home.

Mr. Liu, a resident of Qinghai, claimed,

This place is desolate and uninhabited, no one can be found in hundreds of kilometers, and nucleic acid tests are made almost daily. Yesterday I saw some people with disgraced faces, with their bedding on the ground.

We are here at minus ten degrees Celsius (14 °F), there are still people sleeping in the car, and food and accommodation are a problem. It is sad to see them, they have also contacted the township government many times.
