A video posted on a social platform shows a fight in a group of people waiting to get a code scanned. The incident took place in Qi’an Road, Taopu Town, Shanghai, on June 2.
Some are shouting around the fighting group. Others in the crowd nearby seem to be indifferent. Some are watching; some are holding phones to record the fight.
Everyone can be seen following the rules by wearing masks while fighting and standing to watch.
After that, a positive case is suddenly found in the area at around 8:38 pm, causing anxiety among citizens.
Code scanning was introduced in Shanghai on May 23 by Zhu Junwei, deputy director of the city’s Big Data Center, at a press conference.
According to Zhu, Shanghai has adopted many anti-epidemic measures in public places and residential areas. Apart from code scanning, there are temperature measurements and mask-wearing.
He says everyone should be scanned, every scan must be checked, and no one will be missed.
