Several loud explosions were heard in Kaifeng city, Henan province, on the evening of October 25, followed by loud explosions in Weifang, Shandong Province, and Huizhou, Guangdong Province, where the explosive noise shook houses.

This news then became a hot search on Weibo. Local netizens said that at that time, there was the sound of warplanes roaring in the sky, and the authorities sent many fire trucks. However, the government denied the rumors and said there were no reported incidents.

The Xiaoxiang Morning News reported that at about 18:30 on October 25, a loud explosion was heard in the city of Kaifeng.

According to Jimu News, on the evening of October 24 and the early morning of October 25, people in Fuyang City, Anhui Province, heard two loud explosions, making locals think that an earthquake had occurred. However, the Fuyang Seismological Bureau said there was no earthquake at the time. Regarding the explosion on the morning of October 25, the Fuyang government said they were investigating the reason.

Some online videos show that at 5:03 on October 25, an object was flying “straight in the sky.” In the video, there are times when an airplane appears in the sky, sometimes two planes, with one plane chasing another. Netizens identified them as warplanes.

Twitter user @tw_Tomy7 posted a series of videos that note: “Currently, there are 4 provinces of Henan, Anhui, Shandong, and Hunan that have heard big explosions. The source of the explosion has not been investigated at this time, but many fire trucks were dispatched on October 25.”

One video was subtitled: “The warplanes exercised very high in the sky. Currently, the warplanes can be seen firing at the scene. There are three warplanes, one of which has launched a missile. The sound was so loud that even the houses below shook.”

On October 26, in a group chat called “Yingzhou Group Chat” in Fuyang City, Anhui Province, a netizen nicknamed “Xi Ge house moving” said, “The planes chased from Henan to Anhui.” Another said: “I heard people in the military say that they are UFOs, and have been shot down. Now, only remnants of debris can be found, no bodies.”

However, local netizens revealed that it could be the sounds of warplanes, and there were always the screeching noises of a warplane at that time. Vision Times quotes some netizens as saying:

“The CCP considers residential areas war zones, and all citizens are its shields.”

Another said: “I heard (the explosion) once yesterday, once today, so maybe they came back today for revenge? There is a video of two planes chasing each other in the sky, I thought they were training.”
