Multiple parts of China have been hit by floods and mudslides recently. On the morning of July 16, torrential rains caused mudslides in the south outer ring of Yucheng District, Ya’an city, Sichuan province.

The mudslide poured down from the hillside and swept across the road. Cars and people were submerged in the muddy water. Casualties remain unknown.

According to Chinese media Sohu, mudslides occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on July 16. Xia Xia (pseudonym) was nearby the scene. Sitting in the car, she captured the moment when the mudslides swept away. She recalled that people in the black vehicle abandoned the car and fled successfully while the cyclist was hit by the mudslides. Affected by this, many roads in Yucheng District have enforced traffic control.

In a video posted on social media, someone was taking a trapped woman out of the mudslides. Two rescued people were covered in mud from head to toe. [Video]

Another video shows a black car struck by the mudslide while a white vehicle was lucky enough to escape the dangerous situation. [Video 0:00-0: 14]

The water covered plenty of other vehicles. Some were shut off, so the car owners had to push them in the flood water. [Video 0:15- 1:00]
