On the eve of International Human Rights Day (December 10), human rights lawyer Zhu Wanqi said that as of December 7, 2022, nearly 5 million people from 37 countries and regions have signed indictments accusing former CCP’s leader Jiang Zemin of crimes related to the persecution of Falun Gong. Jiang Zemin passed away on November 30.
According to NTDTV, Zhu Wanqi, who leads a worldwide petition to bring Jiang Zemin to court, said that Jiang was a notorious human rights abuser in China and worldwide. Even though Jiang is dead, people are demanding that he be brought to justice.
Zhu added that more than 1.376 million people in Taiwan have signed, 1.01 million people in Japan, and more than 678,000 people in South Korea have also done the same.
Meanwhile, Australia has more than 200,000 signatories. People in 29 European countries participated, with Ukraine, the Netherlands, Israel, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Russia with the largest number of signatories.
Hermann Tertsch, a member of the European Parliament, said that Jiang’s terrible crime should be prosecuted worldwide. It is necessary to point out who carried out the act of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners while alive and severely condemn any behavior that concurs with or even encourages this evil act.
Gao Jiayu, a Taiwanese parliamentarian, said that the prosecution of Jiang would not stop after his death because people would not tolerate his crimes. All countries in the world should target Jiang Zemin, as well as China, prosecuting those who persecute Falun Gong as well as persecuting freedom and human rights.
Peter Van Dalen, a member of the European Parliament, said that now is the time to see if the international community will hold the CCP accountable for the persecution of Falun Gong. Countries must study how to punish individuals who harvest organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
