RFA on July 8 revealed how Xi Jinping purged Sun Lijun, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

In addition to installing Wang Xiaohong into the Ministry of Public Security, Xi Jinping arranged for another confidant from his father’s hometown, Sun Xinyang, to enter this Ministry.

Specifically, Sun Xinyang was assigned by Xi Jinping to be the Disciplinary Inspection Department’s leader of the Ministry of Public Security.

Sun Xinyang was born in July 1964 in Fuping, Shaanxi, the hometown of Xi Jinping’s father.

In 1998, Xi Zhengning, then-Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Hainan Province, died suddenly.

Xi Zhengning’s father and Xi Jinping’s father are brothers.

During Xi Zhengning’s funeral, Xi Jinping met Sun Xinyang. Sun then told Xi Jinping that Xi Zhengning was a “father, brother, teacher, and friend.”

At the end of February 2020, CCP’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection initially obtained evidence allowing the purge of Sun Lijun; Xi Jinping immediately transferred Sun Xinyang, then working in Jiangxi province, to the Ministry of Public Security.

Professor Feng Chongyi of the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, once told VOA that Xi Jinping focuses on the Sun Lijun case, but in reality, Xi wants to target Meng Jianzhu, the man who backs Sun.

Meng Jianzhu is the Former Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China. He is said to be a confidant of Zeng Qinghong and Jiang Zemin, two “political godfathers” in China, who it is said, will attempt to oust Xi Jinping from power after the CPP’s 20th Congress.
