The Phase III factory of the scandalous Chinese group BYD Co. Ltd. suffered a serious fire.

According to China’s media, the fire occurred just after 7:00 p.m. on November 18 at a BYD workshop under construction in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province.

By 1:30 a.m. on November 19, firefighters brought the fire under control. No injuries or deaths have been reported so far in the fire.

BYD stands for “Build Your Dreams.” This company has two subsidiaries, BYD Automobile and BYD Electronic.

BYD has been involved in many scandals. In addition to allegations of poor quality products, BYD also faces allegations of disregard for human rights.
