According to China NetEase, April 28, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport announced that they would adjust some domestic passenger flight plans due to epidemic prevention and control.
The Airport is expected to cancel more than 1,100 flights on the day. Flight cancellation accounted for more than 90% of the total daily flights.
This move from the Guangzhou government shows that they are more strict against the epidemic than in Yiwu, Zhejiang.
On April 28, Guangzhou City reported four cases of indigenous positive infection of new coronavirus in the city. Among them were three confirmed cases and one asymptomatic case. There were also 11 other cases of positive primary screening this time.
Guangzhou Metro Line 3 Airport South suspended its service due to a significantly reduced flight from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.
Besides, on the same day, Guangzhou Yuexiu District, Huadu District, and Baiyun District conduct mass nucleic acid testing.
According to Global Network Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, China, known as “the world’s largest small commodity wholesale market,” was also under lockdown, after three cases on April 26.
The city also shutdowns all local government activities for about two days and requires residents to provide proof of the nucleic acid testing.
