Shanghai recently entered a two-stage lockdown as Covid-19 cases surge, and the number of cases continues to increase.

Shanghai Puxi will be fully closed and controlled starting April 1, and Pudong will continue to be under semi-closed control.

The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission announced on April 3 that only on April 2, there were 438 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 7788 asymptomatic infections.

According to Chinese media Sina news, Shanghai’s medical system has been overburdened due to the increasing number of infections. The first batch of medical teams dispatched by Jiangsu Province, including 1026 people, left Nanjing and Nantong on the afternoon of April 1 and arrived in Shanghai by bus.

Those leaving Shanghai as of April 2 must have a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 48 hours and a negative antigen test certificate within 24 hours.
