The Apollo reported on December 12 that the topic “SF Express collapses” has become a hot search on Weibo after its website crashed.
On that day SF’s online service experienced a brief outage with abnormal network operations and an unopened webpage. Customer service said the division suffered a system failure, so it couldn’t deliver packages normally.
The company then tried to make emergency repairs, turning its services back to normal operation.
Earlier, on December 9, SF’s mini program and web page collapsed. Many users reported that their package deliveries would stop at a certain site and complained about the long wait time.
According to comments from Weibo users, these incidents hit the entire nation.
More than 1,500 comments were made regarding SF Express Weibo. The majority of comments showed people’s complaints about different issues, such as stranded packages at transfer stations, long transportation times, and untimely delivery.
According to Pandaily, some users claimed that express delivery has also slowed. A web user’s package that was ordered on December 1 was still en route. People now tend to purchase masks, medicines, and antigen test kits on e-commerce platforms as a result of China’s COVID easing. However, most of them have faced problems such as no express delivery or delayed logistics. Many merchants don’t deliver goods, and some packages simply get stuck on the road.According to people familiar with the matter, SF is also facing a courier shortage due to a fever surge, contributing to its slow delivery service.
