A police car passes by, a man is lying on the road

In recent years, the media has discussed that passers-by don’t stop to help when there is an accident, for example, and attribute this to the indifference of the Chinese. However, a video shows that not only Chinese people but also the authorities are insensitive.

According to Xinhua Net, a slogan in China shows people’s trust in the police force: “If you are in trouble, seek help from a cop.”

Footage shows a person lying down in the middle of the road, but no one seems to care; even a passing police car does not stop to help.

Armed forces deployed at nucleic acid testing sites

Recently, the Covid epidemic breakout has been serious in many places in China. Nucleic acid testing is one of the most important official actions to combat the epidemic.

Article 12 of the Law of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases stipulates: that if the people in the scope of nucleic acid testing don’t participate in the testing, they are considered to be violating the “Emergency Regulations for Public Health Emergencies.” According to the “Criminal Law,” criminal responsibility will be investigated for the crime of obstructing the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.

Footage shows the control of the authorities in testing nucleic acids. At a nucleic acid testing site, there are security guards with guns as if they were controlling criminals.

‘Is this a release from prison or a segregation camp?’

Early lockdowns, travel bans, and mass testing has been used to implement China’s strict Zero-Covid policy since the virus was first discovered there in late 2019.

A Tweet titled” Is this a release from prison or a segregation camp?” shows people as they leave quarantine sites.

Outside the locked entrance gate, the authorities together count down to the time of unlocking. After the door was opened, someone excitedly greeted and shook the officials’ hands. Some people quietly walked out of this area. Another woman bows to each officer with thanks.

People left their comments below. User Alisa said, “This certainly has nothing to do with the virus.” Hans.light said, “The country is ruled by actors.” Another said, “Slaves thank their owner.”
