Experts raised the warning as Taiwan’s Air Force confirmed on April 2 that one China’s J-11 fighter jet intruded into the Southwest Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) during the day.

The Air Force Command released the news on the official website of the Ministry of National Defense. The Taiwan Air Force sent aircraft to broadcast radio warnings and deploy air defense missile systems to monitor China’s activity in response to the Chinese military’s move.

The Chinese military took action after China’s mouthpiece Global Times reported on March 30 that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force recently organized a cross-day-and-night. Their cross-regional maneuver exercise saw multiple types of fighter jets. They fly across more than 5,000 kilometers in less than 20 hours, covering different terrains, including plateaus and the sea.
