On April 3, China reported 1,405 confirmed coronavirus cases, compared with 1,506 a day earlier. Asymptomatic cases do not count as confirmed cases.

China’s National Health Commission said, among the new cases, 1,366 were locally transmitted, versus 1,455 a day earlier.

According to Xinhua News Agency, the number of new asymptomatic cases stood at 11,862 compared with 11,781 a day prior.

The authority claims that there were no new deaths, leaving the death toll at 4,638.

As of April 3, mainland China had confirmed 156,143 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
