On July 24, a bridge in Anshan city, Liaoning Province, suddenly collapsed, causing four vehicles to fall from the bridge, with numerous people injured.

At about 8:30 pm on July 24, a bridge collapsed at the junction of Dayingzi and Wuzihe Townships in Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County, Anshan City, Liaoning Province.

Three trucks and one taxi plunged into the river with several drivers and passengers on board. Three of the injured were taken to hospital, and their condition is unknown.  

The Wenjiajie bridge’s length was about 419 yards and it collapsed for more than 65 yards. 

The previous day, a Twitter video showed another tofu road in Zhengzhou when a small construction truck transporting gravel to fill one sinkhole eventually fell into another sinkhole.

Many ‘tofu’ construction projects have collapsed, Chinese citizens have been seriously impacted financially, and their safety has been put at risk.
