Democratic candidate Joe Biden added to his team Ted Dean, an entrepreneur known for his strong ties to technology companies run by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Dean also worked under the Obama administration and from there his ties to the CCP deepened even further. Biden, who has not been officially proclaimed as president, constantly states his intentions to readjust ties with the evil communist regime.
Controversial businessman Dean joined Biden’s team as an adviser within the U.S. Trade Office. Dean entered the world of politics with President Obama, before and after working for several Chinese-owned companies with strong connections to the CCP.
As reported by The Washington Free Beacon, Dean served as a director and president of a large Chinese technology consulting firm, according to information on his Linkedin account and as president of a business lobbying organization connected to the CCP,—the American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China (AmCham-China).
Prior to his career as a political officer, Dean was involved from 1999 to 2013 in leadership positions at BDA China Limited, a service company focused on advising on investments in China’s consumer sector.
A 2016 New York Times report said BDA helped raise capital for Chinese state-owned enterprises, including China Unicom, China Telecom, and China Mobile. China Unicom and China Telecom were named in April of this year as companies vulnerable “to exploitation, influence, and control by the Chinese Communist Party,” as reported by Reuters.
Democratic candidate Joe Biden has been repeatedly criticized for his controversial relations with the CCP. The accusations even say his entire family is entangled with the CCP.
After the New York Post obtained a copy of a hard drive from Joe’s son Hunter Biden’s computer and began publishing the information on Oct. 14, it became clear that the family’s connections to the CCP in shady business dealings are real.
After that story, Breitbart revealed new information received from a former business partner of Hunter Biden, about meetings at the White House with CCP officials.
The emails give details about how then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son and his business partners used their access to the Obama-Biden administration to arrange private meetings for clients and foreign investors at the highest level in the White House. Private, unofficial meetings were held between CCP officials and Joe Biden.
Breitbart reported that in one of the 2011 mailings, Hunter Biden’s business partners also discussed developing relationships with what one of them called “China Inc.” as part of a “new push for soft diplomacy with the Chinese.”
Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.), criticized Dean’s addition, saying it indicates that a Biden administration would take a much less aggressive approach toward America’s main geopolitical rival.
“Joe Biden is poised to undo consensus U.S. foreign policy, which treats China as our foremost global adversary. Why? I’m not sure. But I do know Biden’s financial ties to China [the CCP] predate his recent Cabinet picks and involve people a lot closer to Joe Biden than any Cabinet appointee.”
